Today is NHS Change Day. So, in honour of those good souls full of enthusiasm and drive to make the NHS a better and safer place for its patients, I'm going to tackle one of those subjects that are usually better left waiting outside with religion and politics. I honestly believe that vast majority of Britain would absolutely support campaigns to protect disabled people’s rights if they only knew about them. The problem is getting heard through the filtered news that people hear. It is easy to believe that no one cares when you see the statistics for disability hate crime, or hear about people dying alone without anyone seeming to even notice. But I truly think that the majority of Britain wholeheartedly believes that we should live in a society that gives help when it is needed… they just need to be informed that they need to.
